Terms & Conditions

(Applies to All Events in All 50 U.S. States)

These Terms & Conditions (“T&Cs”) govern your registration for and participation in any event organized by Absolute Mountain LLC (“Absolute Mountain,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), including the Absolute Mountain, Absolute Beach, Absolute Desert or any related fitness racing events (each, an “Event”).
By registering for or participating in an Event, you acknowledge and agree to these T&Cs in full.

1. GENERAL INFORMATION

1.1. Absolute Mountain LLC organizes competitive mountain, beach, and desert fitness racing events throughout the United States. Events may include uphill racing, functional fitness stations, team or individual divisions, and other athletic components.

1.2. All Events are subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, health regulations, and permit requirements (“Applicable Laws”).

1.3. We reserve the right to modify the Event format, course layout, schedule, or structure in our discretion for safety, regulatory compliance, or operational reasons.

2. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

2.1. By registering, you enter into a binding, enforceable agreement with Absolute Mountain LLC based on these T&Cs.

2.2. We may update these T&Cs from time to time. Continued participation after an update constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

3. REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS

To register as an athlete, you must:

3.1. Provide complete, truthful, and accurate personal information during registration. False or misleading information may result in disqualification without refund.

3.2. Provide a unique and valid email address.

3.3. Acknowledge these T&Cs and our Privacy Policy.

3.4. Pay all required fees, including registration fees and any additional package or add-on fees selected at checkout.

3.5. Be 16 years of age or older on race day.

  • Participants under 18 must provide a parent/guardian-signed waiver and consent form.

3.6. Be in generally good health and able to safely complete rigorous physical activity. You are solely responsible for determining your readiness to participate. We may request a physician’s note at our discretion.

3.7. Complete all ticket personalization steps prior to the Event and present your confirmation barcode/QR code and government-issued ID at check-in.

4. HEALTH AND SAFETY

4.1. You are solely responsible for assessing your fitness, health, and ability to participate safely. Conditions may change between registration and race day, including illness, injury, or pregnancy. No refunds will be provided due to such changes.

4.2. We may deny participation or remove you from an Event if you exhibit signs of illness, intoxication, unsafe behavior, or any condition that may endanger yourself or others.

4.3. Illegal drugs or performance-enhancing substances are strictly prohibited.

5. TICKET TYPES, TRANSFERS, AND REFUNDS

5.1. All sales are final unless you purchased an add-on that expressly allows cancellation or name changes.

5.2. Standard tickets are non-transferable.

5.3. If available, options will permit:

  • Partial or full refunds depending on timing

  • Restrictions for team categories to ensure proper gender or division alignment

5.4. Spectator tickets are non-refundable.

5.5. Tickets cannot be transferred to another Event unless explicitly permitted through a option offered at checkout.

6. EVENT ACCESS

6.1. You must present:

  • Your QR/barcode or confirmation number

  • A government-issued photo ID

  • Any required waivers or health documentation

6.2. Lost timing chips or equipment issued by Absolute Mountain LLC may incur a replacement fee up to $100.

7. CANCELLATION, POSTPONEMENT & FORCE MAJEURE

7.1. We may cancel, postpone, or modify an Event due to:

  • Severe weather

  • Natural disasters

  • Government orders

  • Safety concerns

  • Insufficient permits

  • Pandemics or public health emergencies

  • Any event outside our reasonable control (“Force Majeure Event”)

7.2. If an Event is postponed, your registration automatically transfers to the rescheduled date.

7.3. If an Event is canceled, you will receive:

  • A free transfer to a future Event in the same season or next season, or

  • A transfer to another location (if space permits)

7.4. Refunds are not guaranteed but may be offered if you demonstrate significant financial hardship caused directly by the postponement or cancellation. Service fees are non-refundable.

Absolute Mountain LLC is not responsible for travel, lodging, or ancillary expenses in any case.

8. LIABILITY RELEASE & ASSUMPTION OF RISK

THIS IS A LEGALLY BINDING RELEASE. BY REGISTERING, YOU WAIVE SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY.

8.1. You acknowledge that participation in an Event involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

  • Strenuous physical exertion

  • Falls

  • Terrain hazards

  • Weather conditions

  • Equipment failure

  • Collisions

  • Illness or death

8.2. You voluntarily assume all risks, known or unknown, associated with your participation.

8.3. You hereby waive, release, and forever discharge Absolute Mountain LLC, its officers, employees, volunteers, sponsors, contractors, landowners, and affiliates (“Releasees”) from any and all claims arising out of your participation, including claims based on ordinary negligence.

8.4. This release does not waive claims based on:

  • Gross negligence

  • Willful misconduct

  • Conduct that cannot legally be waived under applicable state law

8.5. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless all Releasees against claims brought by third parties arising from your actions or participation.

8.6. You consent to necessary medical treatment and accept full financial responsibility for associated costs.

9. PARTICIPANT CONDUCT

Participants may be removed or disqualified—without refund—for:

  • Unsportsmanlike conduct

  • Interference with other athletes

  • Dangerous behavior

  • Violation of Event rules

  • Failure to follow course markings or staff instructions

  • Use of unauthorized equipment

10. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY & MEDIA RELEASE

10.1. All Event branding, photos, videos, and logos are the property of Absolute Mountain LLC.

10.2. By attending or participating, you grant Absolute Mountain a worldwide, royalty-free license to use your image, likeness, voice, and performance in promotional materials, without restriction or compensation.

11. PERSONAL PROPERTY

Absolute Mountain is not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings.

12. GOVERNING LAW

These T&Cs are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the Event takes place.
Any legal dispute must be brought exclusively in state or federal courts within that state.

13. SEVERABILITY

If any provision of these T&Cs is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain valid and enforceable.
