Event-Day Accessibility

Absolute Mountain LLC is committed to making our races and event-day experiences as accessible and inclusive as possible. We understand that every participant’s needs are unique, and we aim to provide reasonable accommodations to ensure that individuals with disabilities can participate safely and enjoyably.

Because Absolute Mountain events take place outdoors on mountain, beach, or desert terrain—which can include uneven ground, steep elevation, weather exposure, and variable environmental conditions—we encourage participants who may require support to contact us in advance so we can help determine the best assistance available.

1. Accessibility Accommodations May Include:

  • Event-day support staff to assist with check-in, movement in common areas, or accessing designated zones

  • Reserved drop-off or parking areas closer to the base area when possible

  • Alternative viewing or spectator areas for supporters who need accessible footing

  • Communication assistance, such as providing race information in alternative formats when requested

  • Course guidance on elevation, terrain difficulty, and potential hazards to help participants assess suitability

  • Emergency response readiness, with event personnel trained to assist participants with accessibility needs

2. Terrain and Course Considerations

Due to the nature of our events—which involve mountain trails, elevation gain, off-road surfaces, sand, and physically demanding stations—certain areas of the course may not be fully accessible to all mobility levels. Our team will work with participants to:

  • Identify accessible areas of the venue

  • Provide clear expectations of course conditions

  • Explore possible modifications or support when feasible and safe
